+¦+ Getting started +¦+
Press the power button in the top-left corner to start the audio. Note: Your browser may ask permission to use audio – allow it and press play again if needed.
+¦+ Effects +¦+
The top row has four global effects that apply to all active sonic layers. Each effect has a fader and ON/OFF toggle.
- MOD – modulation – adds slow pitch and filter movement to keep the sound alive
- GRIT – saturation – adds harmonic grit and texture
- DLAY – delay – echoes that blend into the drone
- RVRB – reverb – controls the reverb decay time (up to 60 seconds)
+¦+ Sonic Layers +¦+
The generator has three sonic layers—two chord presets and a sequencer—each with an on/off toggle.
C1 and C2 – Looping drone layers
Select a chord from the dropdown to load a looping drone. Each layer continuously crossfades, creating an evolving pad. You can also add your own audio file using the "Upload file…" option. (note: uploaded files are stored in your browser and are not shareable)
Each drone layer has five faders:
- VOL – volume
- TONE – filter brightness – lower values are darker/bassier
- PTCH – pitch shift in semitones (±24)
- LGTH – loop length – how long each pass plays before cycling
- XFAD – crossfade time between loops
S1 – Sequencer
Play notes using the on-screen keyboard (or your computer keyboard: A–K for white keys, W E T Y U for black keys). Notes you play are recorded into a 4-second loop and repeat automatically. You can drag notes to any position in the sequencer. Remove notes by hovering or selecting and tapping the ×.
The sequencer layer has three faders:
- VOL – volume
- TONE – filter brightness – lower values are darker/bassier
- PTCH – pitch shift in semitones (±24)

Your composition settings are automatically saved to the page URL. Save it with a bookmark or share with a simple copy and paste.
+¦+ Tips +¦+
- Start with one drone layer and add the second for harmonic depth.
- Experiment with PTCH to create harmonics across your drone layers (try shifting C2 by +7 or +12 semitones).
- Keep RVRB high for a floating, spacious quality.
- MOD keeps the sound from feeling static.
